Katie Conlin, LCSW, MSW

Katie Conlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has over 10 years of experience working with individuals, families, and children. She received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. Upon graduation, she held a variety of positions within the education field in both Colorado and abroad in Guatemala. Realizing that working with individuals and children to find peace, health and healing through a therapeutic relationship was her calling, she attended the University of Denver where she received her Masters in Social Work with a concentration on children, families and trauma work.

Some of her previous positions have included working as a mental health therapist for a Denver transitional housing facility, a case manager for longterm care, and a therapist in a school setting for a community mental health center.

Katie takes a client centered approach to therapy helping individuals and families find their strengths and healing by utilizing a variety of different therapeutic modalities such as Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused-Brief Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). In addition, she often utilizes mindfulness skills such as art, movement, and relaxation techniques. She aims to make her sessions a collaborative process, where your voice matters and is heard.

On a personal note, Katie moved to Colorado 12 years ago for the blue skies, sunshine and the beauty of the mountains.  She strives to incorporate mindfulness strategies into her personal life such as yoga, hiking, skiing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Katie is an employee of Jefferson Center for Mental Health co-located within Denver West Pediatrics in the efforts to integrate mental health and primary care treatment.

Katie is in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
